'An immersive spectacle like no other'

A huge thank you to everyone who supported, sponsored and visited Shadowdock, the project would not have been possible without you. Special thanks to The National Lottery Heritage Fund, National Lottery players, Belfast Maritime Trust, The Lightbody Foundation & Third Source for their generous support with funding. To our venue partners Titanic Distillery, Catalyst and HMS Caroline for their support and patience; and to the team at Belfast 2024 and Belfast city council who commissioned this experimental project.

Shadowdock was the largest immersive installation on the island of Ireland and was visited by almost 3,000 people over 4 days. Set within the magnificent Thompson Dock, it invited you to embark on a journey of discovery, explore the history of the place where Belfast began, and choose what part you can play in its future.

Feedback gathered from audience members said 95% of visitors had a good time with 91% saying they would come again to something like this. The project had more than 130,000 views across social media

If you would like to see Shadowdock return, please show your support by contacting the Belfast2024 team here
